Graduate Liam Ogburn has continued success with Porter & May heading to London for a mini-tour this month.
M: Tell us about the London Tour?
LO: We'll be there between the dates 5th October till 9th October. We're playing in London to play to new crowds and broaden our scope as a band from Preston, London has a thriving music scene, and is home to many of our influences. It will naturally make us stronger as a band and gain new, potentially valuable contacts. We're playing:
6th October - The Finborough Arms,
7th October - The 100 Club \
8th October - Hope and Anchor.
Supporting Mercury Award nominees The Big Moon at Live Venue in Preston - Monday 2nd October.
M: How did your studies at UCLan help you?
LO: Studying the UCLan Music Practice course has aided myself within my own performance, especially utilising and integrating effects into my bass playing. An element which has evolved our sound as a band and pushed our song writing and performance.
M: What are the band's plans for the future?
LO: We will continue developing as a band, playing as much as we can and in as many places as we can. It's our passion and focus in life.
